Council doesn’t listen to citizens
Regarding the article on the recent La Plata Town Council debate [Debate gets heated at La Plata election forum, Maryland Independent, April 21], I am sorry I missed it. I read a remark from one of the incumbents that said the council “Mainly listens to the citizens.” Interesting, I thought. If that is true then why do we have a Walmart? Why do we have a shopping center on Rosewick Road? Why do we even have a Rosewick Road in the first place? Why is the town against residential solar energy with obsolete restrictions?
Hey council members, it’s time for a change. If I wanted to live in congestion central, a.k.a. Waldorf, I wouldn’t pay my $7,000/year to live in La Plata. Billy Klein, La Plata
