D.C. man charged with armed rob­bery of Wal­dorf Sunoco

Al­legedly robbed em­ployee at knife point

A war­rant has been is­sued for a Wash­ing­ton, D.C., man in con­nec­tion with an armed rob­bery in March at a Wal­dorf gas sta­tion.

Ac­cord­ing to the Charles County Sher­iff’s Of­fice, Bryan An­thony Hard­man, 33, en­tered the Sunoco Gas store on Crain High­way in Wal­dorf. Po­lice say Hard­man jumped over the counter, drew a knife and or­dered the em­ployee be­hind the counter to give him money.

Hard­man also will­fully dam­aged a dis­play case, cell­phone case and bot­tles of scented oil, ac­cord­ing to the in­dict­ment filed with the Charles County Cir­cuit Court.

Af­ter the em­ployee gave him money, Hard­man fled on foot.

Hard­man is cur­rently in cus­tody in Wash­ing­ton, D.C., on other charges, ac­cord­ing to CCSO.

A grand jury has is­sued an in­dict­ment for Hard­man on the charges of armed rob­bery, rob­bery, sec­ond-de­gree as­sault, theft un­der $1,000 and ma­li­cious de­struc­tion of prop­erty val­ued un­der $1,000.
