The Lit­tle Ea­gles Bas­ket­ball Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 19 to 23 and June 26 to 30 at North Point High School for chil­dren 8 to 14.

The camp is struc­tured to teach the fun­da­men­tals of the game of bas­ket­ball. Play­ers will learn the in­di­vid­ual fun­da­men­tals through drib­bling, pass­ing, shoot­ing and de­fense. They will also learn how to use those fun­da­men­tals and ap­ply them to game sit­u­a­tions.

All campers will re­ceive em­broi­dered gym bag, mesh jer­sey and short, shirt, bas­ket­ball and wa­ter bot­tle.

The cost is $200 for one ses­sion and a $300 if at­tend both ses­sions. Add $50 for be­fore and/or af­ter school care.

The camp will be con­ducted by cur­rent Grace Chris­tian Academy coaches and play­ers. It will em­pha­size fun­da­men­tals of the game in­clud­ing drib­bling, pass­ing, shoot­ing and re­bound­ing with op­por­tu­ni­ties for com­pe­ti­tion as well. All campers will re­ceive a camp T-shirt.

Team Fire Elite Youth Bas­ket­ball has part­nered with Navy Child and Youth Pro­grams to launch the Mil­i­tary Reg­is­tra­tion Dis­count Pro­gram for the up­com­ing sea­son in sup­port of mil­i­tary fam­i­lies.

The pro­gram is for chil­dren 5 to 18 of ac­tive duty mil­i­tary, Depart­ment of De­fense civil­ians and con­trac­tors, re­servists on ac­tive duty or in­ac­tive duty while train­ing, and chil­dren of mil­i­tary re­tirees.

Charles County Depart­ment of Recre­ation, Parks and Tourism will of­fer ju­nior golf clin­ics at White Plains Golf Course to learn the ba­sic skills needed to be­come a con­fi­dent golfer.

Ses­sions in­clude proper golf course eti­quette, safety, rules, grip, stance, pos­ture, chip­ping, putting, irons, woods and on-the-course in­struc­tion.

The clin­ics will oc­cur from 8 to 9:15 a.m. June 26 to 29 for chil­dren 8 to 12 and from 8 to 9:15 a.m. July 10 to 13 for chil­dren 13 to 17. The cost for each four-day ses­sion is $60. Ses­sions in­clude in­struc­tion, con­tests and prizes.

Next Level Soc­cer, un­der the tech­ni­cal di­rec­tion of Coach Daniel Bulls, is seek­ing com­pet­i­tive and com­mit­ted play­ers to try­out for the 2017-18 sea­son, for its travel soc­cer pro­gram.

Boys teams are those born in the years 2000 through 2009 and for girls in born in the years 2006 to 2008.

Play­ers train and play year­round should ex­pect to play in 6 to 10 high level tour­na­ments through­out the year. All teams are pro­fes­sion­ally coached and par­tic­i­pate in the East­ern De­vel­op­ment Pro­gram League.
