Man found dead in Pinefield
Foul play not suspected, police say
The body of an unidentified 55-year-old man — whom authorities believe to have been homeless — was found dead in a wooded area located in the Pinefield Community Park last Friday.
The discovery was made by a passerby who later called the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit. A concerned citizen called the Maryland Independent saying they heard that the unidentified body was found in the park near a basketball court, close to the Pinefield subdivision.
According to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, an autopsy report was conducted and it found that he had trauma to his body. The unknown man’s body was found late Friday evening on June 9 just right after 6:04 p.m. Police have not released the name of the victim and do not suspect foul play.
