Thomas Carter Proc­tor “Chuck”

Thomas Carter Proc­tor “Chuck”, 67, of Wal­dorf, MD, was born on Nov. 12, 1949. Chuck passed away peace­fully at home, on June 11, 2017, sur­rounded by his lov­ing fam­ily and friends. After grad­u­at­ing Sur­rattsville High School, he was called to serve in the U.S. Army (1969-1971) with a tour of duty in Viet­nam. Chuck then chose to en­list in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1972 and was hon­or­ably dis­charged from ac­tive duty in 1981.

Fol­low­ing his mil­i­tary ca­reer, he worked as a mixer and dump truck driver, first for Chaney En­ter­prise and then with Sonny’s Truck­ing, LLC, un­til his ill­ness pre­vented him from driv­ing.

Chuck leaves to cher­ish his memor y wife, El­iz­a­beth “Sis” Proc­tor; daugh­ter, Anita John­son; grand­son, Lomond John­son II; four sis­ters; five brothers; five sis­ters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; aunts; un­cles; and a host of nieces, neph­ews, cousins, and friends. He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents, John “Sonny” and Mar­garet “Tee” Proc­tor; daugh­ter, Tere­sita Proc­tor; and grand­daugh­ter, Ani­cia John­son.

A memo­rial ser vice will be held on June 21 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 17502 Aquasco Road, Brandy­wine, MD. View­ing will be held at 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with mass at 12 p.m. In­ter­ment at Chel­tenham Veter­ans Ceme­tery, Chel­tenham, MD, at 1:45 p.m.
