Capitol Heights man dies after motorcycle crash
A Capitol Heights man died after crashing his motorcycle while riding northbound on Brandywine Road in Accokeek last Thursday night.
Maryland State Police said Gerald Reshad Stockton, 30, was on Route 5 north of Brandywine Road in the left lane when he lost control of his 2004 Honda CBR1000 motorcycle and traveled into the center median at approximately 8:40 p.m. Thursday. There was no current registration plate listed to the motorcycle, according to police.

Maryland Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
The roadway in the area of the collision was shut down for approximately two hours, while emergency crews and collision investigators surveyed the scene. Maryland State Police were assisted by Prince George’s County Fire and EMS and the Maryland State Highway Administration.
“At this time we do not know if drugs or alcohol played a factor in this crash. We won’t know until the autopsy comes back,” said duty officer Sgt. Graves of the Maryland State Police.
