Officials voted too quickly on watershed conservation district

On June 6 at 2:30 p.m., the Charles County Board of Commissioners voted on the watershed conservation district issue. Commissioner Ken Robinson (D) submitted an amendment to the WCD. The commissioners approved the amendment 3-2 with commissioners Debra Davis (D) and Bobby Rucci (D) voting no.

The commissioners should have held another meeting to give the citizens an opportunity to address Mr. Robinson’s amendment. Rather than conducting a session to give the people an opportunity to give their opinion, the commissioners voted 3-2 to approve the WCD.

It is my opinion that the vote is invalid, so the WCD cannot be implemented.

This behavior is another example that liberalism is a mental disorder by Commissioners’ Peter Murphy (D), Commissioners’ Vice President Amanda Stewart (D) and Mr. Robinson. Forging ahead on [an invalid] vote makes all of the Charles County taxpayers look foolish and places another cloud over people’s property rights.
