Waldorf man killed in motorcycle accident
Other driver transported with non-life threatening injuries
A 20-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash in Waldorf around 9:48 p.m. Tuesday.
Jonathan Hall of Waldorf was riding west down Billingsley Road through the intersection at St. Patrick’s Drive, when a 50-year-old Waldorf woman was driving east on Billingsley Road and turned left into the path of Hall’s motorcycle, according to a Charles County Sheriff’s Office press release.
Hall struck the rear passenger door of the car, which ejected him from the motorcycle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the press release. The Waldorf woman was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
It is still unknown if the woman driving the car was at fault, and the incident is still under investigation, Janelle Love, public relations specialist for the sheriff’s office, said.
There are no further updates at this time, Love stated Thursday.
