Of­fi­cers re­cover two stolen ve­hi­cles

Sus­pects stole two ve­hi­cles to com­mit thefts in La Plata, Port Tobacco, Wel­come and Nan­je­moy.

While re­spond­ing to a stolen ve­hi­cle re­port in Wel­come, of­fi­cers found an aban­doned car on Melody Acres Drive with the keys in­side. Of­fi­cers dis­o­cov­ered that the vechile was stolen from Lin­den Lane in La Plata, which the sus­pects used to com­mit thefts in La Plata and Port Tobacco.

Af­ter aban­don­ing the car, the sus­pects stole a pickup truck from Melody Acres Drive and com­mit­ted more thefts from un­locked ve­hi­cles be­fore dump­ing the truck in a ditch on Mary­land Point Road in Nan­je­moy. Of­fi­cers re­cov­ered stolen prop­erty in the car.

Crime scene pro­ces­sors re­sponded to the in­ci­dents and pro­cessed the ve­hi­cles, ac­cord­ing to the press re­lease.

Pfc. S. Miller, Pfc. J. Austin and Cpl. S. Brown are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the in­ci­dents.
