Bowl­ing named chair of MACPA board of direc­tors

Bryan­town res­i­dent Saman­tha Bowl­ing, a part­ner at the ac­count­ing firm of Gar­bel­man Winslow CPAs in Up­per Marl­boro, has been named chair of the Mary­land As­so­ci­a­tion of Cer­ti­fied Pub­lic Ac­coun­tants (MACPA) 201819 board of direc­tors, ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease. Bowl­ing was elected to the po­si­tion on June 7 dur­ing the MACPA’s an­nual meet­ing in Bowie, and will hold the seat for one year.

Bowl­ing is a 1989 grad­u­ate of La Plata High School and a 1993 grad­u­ate of Sal­is­bury Uni­ver­sity. She is a cer­ti­fied pub­lic ac­coun­tant li­censed in Mary­land, D.C. and Ari­zona. In March 2018, Bowl­ing was hon­ored as one of Mary­land’s Top 100 Women by the Daily Record, the press re­lease states. Gar­bel­man Winslow CPAs is a 70 full ser­vice pub­lic ac­count­ing firm lo­cated in Up­per Marl­boro that has been pro­vid­ing qual­ity, per­son­al­ized fi­nan­cial guid­ance to lo­cal in­di­vid­u­als and busi­nesses since 1947.
