Six different Cavaliers scored touchdowns as the team cruised to its third straight win, defeating the Rams on Friday night in a SMAC Chesapeake Division game played at Thomas Stone High School in Waldorf.
Dre Mackall led the Calvert rushing attack with 148 yards and a touchdown on nine carries, while Mikka Harvey, TJ Prather and Gus Aufderheide also found the end zone on the ground.
Calvert quarterback Michael Floria passed for two touchdowns, with Jeremiah Holloway the recipient of a 45-yard scoring strike, while Cade Meredith hauled in a 14-yard touchdown pass.
The Cavaliers (4-2, 3-0 SMAC Chesapeake) will look to run their winning streak to four with this Friday night’s scheduled matchup against county rival Patuxent. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. The Panthers (2-4, 2-0) defeated La Plata in Week 6, 23-6.
McDonough (1-5, 0-3) is scheduled to host Westlake at 7 p.m. Friday. The Wolverines (4-2, 2-0) defeated Lackey in Week 6, 38-14.
