Speak Up for levee funding at Friday rally

The rally will come a week after the state budget was finalized by the Legislature without additional funding for levees damaged in connection with the Oroville Dam spillway failure.

“Bottom line summary is the state government and governor are failing to invest in infrastructure,” Gallagher said. “They are putting lives in danger. We had some significant damage to levees, with some sites in need of desperate repair. This budget doesn’t fund those necessary repairs.”
