Polling locations ready for voters
Today is election day; polls open 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
Finally, it’s election day. And officials say they are ready to handle the influx of voters at polling locations throughout the Yuba-sutter area.
Polls open at 7 a.m. and will close at 8 p.m. tonight. Most voters should know where their polling location is by now, but those who don’t can go online to their respective elections office’s website to find where they will cast their ballot (or look on the back of their sample ballot books).
Yuba County has 33,754 registered voters and Sutter County has just over 46,000 residents registered to vote. Even if someone isn’t registered to vote already, they can still cast a ballot by going to their elections office, filling out a conditional voter registration and casting a provisional ballot.
Sonia Gonzalez, right, an elections clerk, and Donna Stottlemeyer, a vote-by-mail board member, prepare ballots on Saturday at the Yuba County Elections office in Marysville.
