Erko K. Welle
Nov. 28, 1942 Dec. 24, 2016 Erko K. Welle, 74, of Pohnpei, F.S.M., departed this life on Saturday, Dece. 24, 2016, in Carthage, Mo. She began her journey on Nov. 28, 1942, in Pingelap, Pohnpei, F.S.M. to the late Kinie and Makes Keller and adopted by the late Noel and Kirisihna Phillip.
She met Daniel Welle on the Pingelap Island and married the summer of 1956. She had three daughters and seven sons. She first visited the U.S. a couple of times and eventually moved permanently in 2007. When her husband passed away in 1996 she began traveling to visit with her children and their families in Guam, Hawaii and Kosrae F.S.M.
She is survived by her seven sons; three daughters; eight brothers; five sisters; 28 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at the Ozark Funeral Home in Goodman, Mo., with graveside services being held at 2 p.m. at the Howard Cemetery in Goodman.
Arrangements were under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Goodman.
