Ronald Eu­gene Wake­field

Dec. 27, 1946 Aug. 2, 2017 Ronald Eu­gene “Ron­nie” Wake­field, 70, of Pineville, Mo., passed away on Wed­nes­day, Aug. 2, 2017, at the Cir­cle of Life Hos­pice in Ben­tonville, Ark., with his lov­ing fam­ily by his side. He was born on Dec. 27, 1946, at Santa Rosa, Calif., to James and Eva (Bates) Wake­field. He was raised and at­tended school in Kansas City, Mo.

He be­gan work­ing as a sacker at a lo­cal gro­cery store and worked at con­struc­tion, paint­ing, auto body, truck driv­ing and as­bestos. He moved to Pineville, fol­low­ing a fall from a ladder, be­com­ing dis­abled in 1991.

He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents; four broth­ers; and two sis­ters.

He is sur­vived by his com­pan­ion of 30 years, Betty McDaniel of the home; her daugh­ter and two grand­chil­dren; sis­ter, Bar­bara Rogers of Blue Springs, Mo.; two broth­ers, James Wake­field of Kirksville, Mo., and Frank Streit of Parkville, Mo.; sev­eral nieces and neph­ews; and a host of other rel­a­tives and won­der­ful friends who will dearly miss him.

Fu­neral ser­vices were held at 11 a.m. Fri­day, Aug. 4, 2017, at the An­der­son Chapel of the Ozark Fu­neral Home with Chap­lain Danny Mullins of­fi­ci­at­ing. Burial fol­lowed in the Union Ceme­tery in Stella, Mo. Vis­i­ta­tion was held from 5 to 7 p.m. in the An­der­son Chapel of the Ozark fu­neral home. The fam­ily re­ceived friends at this time.
