Coffman Found; Facing Charges
A man facing a series of charges, including statutory rape, will first face a court date in Oklahoma for an unrelated felony charge.
Johnathan Coffman is now being held in Shawnee, Okla., and a court date for his Oklahoma charges has been set for September, according to McDonald County Sheriff Mike Hall.
Earlier this summer, McDonald County Sheriff Office officials sought Coffman and posted information on their Facebook page, asking McDonald County neighbors to help them find him.
Hall said Coffman was arrested on July 5 in Shawnee, Okla. He will not be extradited to Missouri any time soon because he is being held in Shawnee on several charges.
Hall said that, in Shawnee, Coffman faces at least one felony assault charge as well as other charges.
In Missouri, Coffman faces charges of statutory rape-1st degree, sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old, statutory sodomy1st degree, and deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old.
