Bass Pro Com­ing

to An­der­son

Bass Pro Won­ders of Wildlife Museum Out­reach Ed­u­ca­tion staff will bring na­tive Mis­souri an­i­mals and touch­able ar­ti­facts to the main gym at McDon­ald County High School on Aug. 23 start­ing at 6:30 p.m. as part of an Out­door and Con­ser­va­tion Ed­u­ca­tion event spon­sored by Young Out­doors­men United. The pub­lic is in­vited, and ad­mis­sion is $1 per per­son. The event will in­clude ed­u­ca­tion sta­tions pro­vided by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Ser­vice, Mis­souri De­part­ment of Con­ser­va­tion, Na­tional Park Ser­vice, U.S. For­est Ser­vice, and De­part­ment of Nat­u­ral Re­sources. The goal of the event is to in­tro­duce youth to an­i­mals of Mis­souri, de­velop an ap­pre­ci­a­tion of the out­doors and con­ser­va­tion, plus places to visit with re­lated out­door top­ics and ac­tiv­i­ties. Se­nior Cen­ter

McDon­ald County Se­nior Cen­ter at 624 John­son Drive in Noel will have mu­sic and potluck din­ner start­ing at 5 p.m. Satur­day, Aug. 19. There will be gospel, coun­try and blue­grass mu­sic played by the Tar Top Trav­el­ers. Join them for an evening of fun, food and en­ter­tain­ment.

Stella Se­nior

Cen­ter

The Stella Se­nior Cen­ter will host a dance Fri­day evening, Aug. 18. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The mu­sic starts at 7 p.m., with The McDon­ald County Play­boys band. Come and dance for $3 and en­joy a fun-filled evening. Re­fresh­ments are avail­able. For more in­for­ma­tion, call 417-628-3314.
