Amer­i­can Le­gion Ben­e­fit Din­ner

Pineville/Jane Amer­i­can Le­gion Post 392 will be hav­ing the third Fri­day ben­e­fit din­ner on Aug. 18. The din­ner will be pre­pared by the Ladies Aux­il­iary and will fea­ture chicken and noo­dles, pota­toes, veg­eta­bles, salad, rolls, dessert, and drinks. Serv­ing will start at 4:30 p.m. A do­na­tion of $7 for adults and $5 for chil­dren 10 and un­der is re­quested. Ev­ery­one is wel­come, and carry-outs are avail­able. The Le­gion build­ing is lo­cated on Jessie James Road next to the Cor­ner­stone Bank in Pineville, Mo.

Pam’s Place

There will be a mu­sic show this Satur­day night, Aug. 19, at Pam’s Place, lo­cated at 2097 Marla Lane in Seneca, Mo. Guest band this week will be “White River Junc­tion” from Arkansas. Doors open at 6 p.m., mu­sic starts at 7 p.m. Fam­ily friendly venue; ev­ery­one is wel­come.

Repub­li­can Club


The Au­gust meet­ing of the McDon­ald County Repub­li­can Club will be held at 6 p.m. Thurs­day, Aug. 24, at the Pineville Com­mu­nity Cen­ter. Jonathan Rus­sell, a mem­ber of the Neosho School Board, will pro­vide an up­date on Good­man schools that were de­stroyed in the Good­man tor­nado. Bunker Hill Quilt Club will be host­ing the meal. These meet­ings are a great op­por­tu­nity to meet like ill-minded in­di­vid­u­als and your lo­cal of­fice­hold­ers. You do not have to be a mem­ber to at­tend.

Mill Creek Bap­tist


Mill Creek Bap­tist Church of Noel will host it’s an­nual Home­com­ing on Sun­day, Aug. 20. Spe­cial mu­sic guest will be “Spring Street,” a blue­grass band from north­east Ok­la­homa. The morn­ing ser­vice will be­gin at 11 a.m. fol­lowed by fel­low­ship lunch and more mu­sic in the af­ter­noon.
