Events Ga­lore Sched­uled For Mus­tang Pride Day

The McDon­ald County High School Booster Club will host this year’s Mus­tang Pride Day on Satur­day, Aug. 19, at MCHS.

Ac­tiv­i­ties start off at 8 a.m. on the track at the foot­ball sta­dium with races for stu­dents in grades 3-8. The var­i­ous length races are hosted by the high school cross coun­try team and coaches.

The 2017 Lady Mus­tangs volleyball team will scrim­mage from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

The soft­ball team will be host­ing a youth camp from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at a cost $10.

The MCHS foot­ball will have a punt, pass and kick con­test at 1 p.m.

All fall sports ath­letes and coaches will be in­tro­duced at the booster club tent at 11 a.m., in­clud­ing ju­nior high and youth foot­ball.

Barkin’ Pig BBQ will be sell­ing lunches through­out the day.

Iron Works Church is spon­sor­ing the event this year by pro­vid­ing tents, bounce houses, free chicken, free hot­dogs and wa­ter and awe­some door prizes.

Other ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude a slip n’ slide, dunk tank, face paint­ing from the Van Gogh bus, selfie with a cop, bean bag toss, pedal cars and a wa­ter­melon eat­ing con­test. Honey’s Ice is giv­ing away 200 free snow­cones. Also, a dunk tank will fea­ture var­i­ous school ad­min­is­tra­tors and board mem­bers.

Ven­dors will be set up sell­ing Mus­tang Ap­parel from 10 a.m. un­til 2 p.m.
