Museum Speaker Se­ries Set Sept. 17

The Speaker Se­ries of the McDon­ald County His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety con­tin­ues this Sun­day, Sept. 17, at 2 p.m. at the Pineville Com­mu­nity Cen­ter at 602 Jesse James Road.

The cast and di­rec­tor of the highly suc­cess­ful play, “Snake County Sto­ries,” will be there and some scenes from the play will be per­formed. You will have an op­por­tu­nity to ask ques­tions of the ac­tors. Light re­fresh­ments will be served.

A brief busi­ness meet­ing will be held with an op­por­tu­nity to join as a vol­un­teer and buy your 2018 His­tor­i­cal Photo Cal­en­dar.

The His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety was or­ga­nized in or­der to col­lect, pre­serve and cel­e­brate the rich and unique his­tory of McDon­ald County.

The highly praised Historic Museum at the Old County Court­house in Pineville is open Fri­days and Satur­days from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The speaker se­ries is free and open to the pub­lic.
