Noah Madden, 70, of Lanagan, Mo., died at his home Oct. 21, 2017, after a long decline in health. He was born on Nov. 19, 1946, in Germany Hollow, in Scioto County, Ohio, to Ezekiel Scott Madden and Agnes Viola Marks Madden and was one of 11 children.
He was united in marriage to Malena Ann Bolte Spence Madden on June 22, 1988, in Ashland, Ky. He moved to Missouri in July 1989 and was employed at Hudson Foods, which became Tyson Foods, in Noel, Mo., from 1989 until 2012. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Anderson, Mo., for several years. He loved fishing, country music (especially George Jones), and attending church when his health allowed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Malena Madden, and Britttany Spence of the home; Chris A. Spence of Fort Wayne, Ind., Michael R. Spence of Alexandria, Va., Kimberly M. Spence Satterfield of Ocean Springs, Miss., Noah Scott Madden of Ashland, and Jason Phillip Madden of Joplin, Mo.; three siblings, Julie Salyers of Raceland, Ky., Lola Corbin of Ironton, Ohio, and Carolyn Horner of Kitts Hill, Ohio; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service, with Pastor John Beck officiating, will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 17, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Anderson, 1 Friendship Lane, Anderson, MO 64831.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be directed to the home to offset final expenses.
