Noah Mad­den, 70, of Lana­gan, Mo., died at his home Oct. 21, 2017, af­ter a long de­cline in health. He was born on Nov. 19, 1946, in Ger­many Hol­low, in Scioto County, Ohio, to Ezekiel Scott Mad­den and Agnes Vi­ola Marks Mad­den and was one of 11 chil­dren.

He was united in mar­riage to Malena Ann Bolte Spence Mad­den on June 22, 1988, in Ash­land, Ky. He moved to Mis­souri in July 1989 and was em­ployed at Hud­son Foods, which be­came Tyson Foods, in Noel, Mo., from 1989 un­til 2012. He was a mem­ber of First Bap­tist Church in An­der­son, Mo., for sev­eral years. He loved fish­ing, coun­try mu­sic (es­pe­cially George Jones), and at­tend­ing church when his health al­lowed.

He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents and seven sib­lings.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife, Malena Mad­den, and Britt­tany Spence of the home; Chris A. Spence of Fort Wayne, Ind., Michael R. Spence of Alexan­dria, Va., Kim­berly M. Spence Satterfield of Ocean Springs, Miss., Noah Scott Mad­den of Ash­land, and Ja­son Phillip Mad­den of Jo­plin, Mo.; three sib­lings, Julie Sa­ly­ers of Race­land, Ky., Lola Corbin of Iron­ton, Ohio, and Carolyn Horner of Kitts Hill, Ohio; six grand­chil­dren; and many nieces and neph­ews.

A memo­rial ser­vice, with Pas­tor John Beck of­fi­ci­at­ing, will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 17, 2017, at First Bap­tist Church of An­der­son, 1 Friend­ship Lane, An­der­son, MO 64831.

In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily asks that do­na­tions be di­rected to the home to off­set fi­nal ex­penses.
