Happy Birthday, B2B

McDonald County Press - - NEWS - Submitted by Robin Killion

The Nov. 9, meeting of the McDonald County Back to Basics Community Group will be held at the New Mac Community Room, old Highway 71 north of the high school, in Anderson on the second Thursday of the month. Potluck is at 6:30 p.m.

B2B is officially nine years old this month, so bring any old favorites you like, including main dishes, side dishes and desserts. Please bring your own table service (plates, utensils) to conserve resources. Beverages will be furnished.

There will be no speaker this month. Instead, back by popular demand, is B2B’s version of “Antiques Road Show.” Bring old family heirlooms for show and tell, or just something you think is a neat collectible, and our B2B “experts” will tell you what they think it is worth. Even if our experts miss the mark, it will be fun for all.

The debate team of Mr. Davis, a McDonald County High School teacher, will be discussing the Big Question: “Are humans fundamentally different from animals?”

The McDonald County Back to Basics Community Group (B2B) was formed in 2008 as a grassroots effort to combine education, information, community services and a social outlet so that we can support each other in good times and bad. This activity is fun, free and open to all, including those from surrounding communities.
