Woman Charged In Con­nec­tion To Crosslines In­ci­dent

A woman who al­legedly ran­sacked the in­te­rior of a stor­age shed at Crosslines will an­swer to three mis­de­meanor charges.

Teresa Chad­well has been of­fi­cially charged in con­nec­tion with tres­pass­ing, steal­ing and prop­erty dam­age, ac­cord­ing to An­der­son Po­lice Chief Seth Daniels.

Chad­well’s court date for the three counts is Oct. 4.

Or­ga­niz­ers of Crosslines, a lo­cal thrift store and food pantry, were shocked to learn that an after-hours vis­i­tor trashed the in­te­rior of a stor­age shed hous­ing nu­mer­ous do­nated goods, then took some items with her.

The in­ci­dent, which oc­curred on Sun­day, Aug. 19, took place at a stor­age shed be­hind Crosslines of McDon­ald County in An­der­son. The sus­pect al­legedly looked through items and then just trashed them in a huge pile.

The fe­male in­truder and the mess she left were caught on video sur­veil­lance.

Charges were filed by the McDon­ald County Pros­e­cut­ing At­tor­ney’s Of­fice.
