All­man Earns All Dis­trict Golf Hon­ors

Lily All­man earned all-dis­trict hon­ors and qual­i­fied for sec­tion­als at the same time when the sopho­more golfer from McDon­ald County High School fin­ished third at the Mis­souri Class 2 Dis­trict 6 Golf Cham­pi­onships held Mon­day at the Carthage Golf Course.

All­man fired an 80 over the Par 71 course. Jenna Teeter of Carl Junc­tion, who fin­ished sixth in the state last year, won the dis­trict ti­tle with a 72. Sec­ond place went to Kayla Kim­b­ley of War­rens­burg with a 77.

The top 15 play­ers ad­vanced to next week’s sec­tional tour­na­ment, which will be played Oct. 8 at Shif­fer­decker Golf Course in Jo­plin.

Carthage won the team ti­tle with a four-per­son to­tal of 356, with War­rens­burg sec­ond with a 366.

All­man was the only player from McDon­ald County to com­pete at districts.
