Sale has gained a reputation for being something of a hothead and this past weekend’s jersey incident did not help matters. Sale is said to have cut up a number of White Sox throwback uniforms prior to last Saturday night’s Chicago-Detroit game so they couldn’t be worn. Sale reportedly expressed great displeasure that he was being forced to wear the uniforms. According to ABC-7 in Chicago, the cost of the destroyed jerseys was around $12,700. Sale was suspended five games for the incident.
