Elisabeth Moss defends Scientology

Metro USA (New York) - - Gossip -

Elisabeth Moss, star of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” is a Scientologist. She rarely talks about it — but recently she defended her religion of choice via Instagram. Mmkay!

A user who chose the moniker moelybanks wrote asking whether or not “The Handmaid’s Tale” makes Moss think twice about Scientology. Because, they wrote, “both Gilead and Scientology both believe that all outside sources [aka news] are wrong or evil.”

Obviously, though, Moss disagreed.

“That’s actually not true at all about Scientology,” Moss replied, very politely. “Religious freedom and tolerance and understanding the truth and equal rights for every race, religion and creed are extremely important to me,” she wrote, although an “LOL, actually” likely would have sufficed. “The most important things to me probably. And so Gilead and THT hit me on a very personal level.” So polite! Also, such a non-answer. Oh well. We’ll always have hot Max Minghella and his portrayal of Nick.

My vote? Girl, I guess.
