HHH In Need Of Halloween Donations
Lives can be turned inside out when households experience extended unemployment, medical emergencies or homelessness, and people can feel excluded from everyday activities because they don’t have the extra funds needed to participate. Sometimes this forces children to miss out on childhood experienc stability during moments of crisis.
To inspire families living in poverty, Helping Hands an i naugural Halloween Costume Drive. From Aug. 1 to Sept. 29, Teapresso will collect new and gently used Halloween costumes for children, teens and adults. With these costumes, struggling households can share in festivities and create wonderful memories with their loved ones despite their financial able to experience the same joys as their friends who aren’t living through similar hardships. With this in mind, Teapresso already has donated 1,200 new costumes to support this effort!
All donated costumes will be distributed through our Community Clearinghouse (CCH), a core program of HHH that has assisted those in need for decades by providing free basic necessities like clothes, beds and household essentials. It offers material support and emergency - erage of 380 individuals per month. This assistance reduces the strain on low-income and homeless households, giving them the ability to focus on larger expenses, such as rent, utilities, medical bills and food.
Since 1974, HHH has concentrated our efforts on human services, behavioral health services and language access services and sought unique ways to support the needs of local families. We are committed to developing and resilience by providing guidance, household goods and opportunities for empowerment and connection. Often, this leads to wonderful collaborations with businesses, like Teapresso, other nonprofits and government agencies. We continue to value compassion, empowerment, fairness and integrity as we strive to make a difference in people’s lives.
