HHH In Need Of Hal­loween Do­na­tions

Lives can be turned in­side out when house­holds ex­pe­ri­ence ex­tended un­em­ploy­ment, med­i­cal emer­gen­cies or home­less­ness, and peo­ple can feel ex­cluded from ev­ery­day ac­tiv­i­ties be­cause they don’t have the ex­tra funds needed to par­tic­i­pate. Some­times this forces chil­dren to miss out on child­hood ex­pe­ri­enc sta­bil­ity dur­ing mo­ments of cri­sis.

To in­spire fam­i­lies liv­ing in poverty, Help­ing Hands an i nau­gu­ral Hal­loween Cos­tume Drive. From Aug. 1 to Sept. 29, Tea­presso will col­lect new and gen­tly used Hal­loween cos­tumes for chil­dren, teens and adults. With these cos­tumes, strug­gling house­holds can share in fes­tiv­i­ties and cre­ate won­der­ful mem­o­ries with their loved ones de­spite their fi­nan­cial able to ex­pe­ri­ence the same joys as their friends who aren’t liv­ing through sim­i­lar hard­ships. With this in mind, Tea­presso al­ready has do­nated 1,200 new cos­tumes to sup­port this ef­fort!

All do­nated cos­tumes will be dis­trib­uted through our Com­mu­nity Clear­ing­house (CCH), a core pro­gram of HHH that has as­sisted those in need for decades by pro­vid­ing free ba­sic ne­ces­si­ties like clothes, beds and house­hold es­sen­tials. It of­fers ma­te­rial sup­port and emer­gency - er­age of 380 in­di­vid­u­als per month. This as­sis­tance re­duces the strain on low-in­come and home­less house­holds, giv­ing them the abil­ity to fo­cus on larger ex­penses, such as rent, util­i­ties, med­i­cal bills and food.

Since 1974, HHH has con­cen­trated our ef­forts on hu­man ser­vices, be­hav­ioral health ser­vices and lan­guage ac­cess ser­vices and sought unique ways to sup­port the needs of lo­cal fam­i­lies. We are com­mit­ted to de­vel­op­ing and re­silience by pro­vid­ing guid­ance, house­hold goods and op­por­tu­ni­ties for em­pow­er­ment and con­nec­tion. Of­ten, this leads to won­der­ful col­lab­o­ra­tions with busi­nesses, like Tea­presso, other non­prof­its and gov­ern­ment agen­cies. We con­tinue to value com­pas­sion, em­pow­er­ment, fair­ness and in­tegrity as we strive to make a dif­fer­ence in peo­ple’s lives.
