MidWeek (Hawaii) - - Front Page -

Where did you receive your schooling and training, and how long have you been in practice?

I graduated in 2006 with a doctorate in physical therapy degree from Loma Linda University in California. I have more than 10 years of experience in spinal cord injury therapy and stroke recovery. My specialties include neurological and spinal cord injury rehabilitation and recovery. I also specialized in sports injury prevention/rehabilitation and manual therapy, as well as balance training.

How did you become interested in physical therapy?

My girlfriend (now wife of 13 years) convinced me not to go to medical school. I’m a very active person, and suited me very well. It also a difference in people’s lives. Physical therapy is one of the most rewarding professions out there.

Can you tell us a little more about what you do at Wellness Neuro & SCI?

Wellness Neuro & SCI grew out of a company we started in 2009 called Wellness PT, which only offers private pay home therapy services. We saw a need and have recently opened up a physical location.

The goal i s t o provide consistent and intensive rehabilitation services to our clients suffering from different forms of neurological or spinal cord injuries without being bound by insurance caps. This may be in order to enhance day-to-day functions or helping them to as walking again and maintaining their independence.

We create very specific treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs by providing one- on- one care, including manual treatment and exercise.

What types of services do you offer?

At Wellness Neuro & SCI we offer:

• Neuro/stroke and rehabilitation services

• Spinal cord injury rehabilitation

and mobility

Most of our clients don’t have the ability to use standard exercise equipment you see in gyms. They need physical help to stand and walk. This is why our faculty is fully accessible to all clients and is aimed at providing a safe environment
