Amy To Sing At Lil­i­uokalani Church Luau

Lil­i­uokalani Protes­tant Church in Haleiwa will have its 36th an­nual luau Aug. 7 on the church grounds at 66090 Kame­hameha Hwy.

Dine-in is from 1 to 4 p.m., dur­ing which time Amy Hana­ialii Gil­liom, the Kame­hameha Men’s Alumni Glee Club and Ekolu Makou will en­ter­tain. Take-out cus­tomers are wel­come from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tick­ets for dine-in ($17.50), take-out ($15) and chil­dren 10 and un­der ($10) are now on sale and can be re­served by call­ing 6379364. Tick­ets will be avail­able at the door on a limited ba­sis.

The menu fea­tures an im­pres­sive list of is­land fa­vorites — kalua pig, squid luau, chicken long rice, lomi lomi salmon, poke, opihi ( limited quan­ti­ties), raw crab, ku­lolo, hau­pia, cake, pineap­ple, sweet potato, poi, rice and punch.

With the ex­cep­tion of the cake, all the food will be pre­pared by the con­gre­ga­tion and friends. The pigs will go into the imu in back of the church on Aug. 5.
