Hawaii Kai’s beloved po­lit­i­cal car­toon­ist, who died last year, is now memo­ri­al­ized in the Corky Trinidad En­dow­ment Fund at UH Manoa. The fund was of­fi­cially es­tab­lished Feb. 12 at the Cen­ter for Philip­pine Stud­ies, with $42,916 al­ready raised by his friends, col­leagues at the Star-Bul­letin and oth­ers. Among many other causes, Doug, with his late wife Ivy, cre­ated An­gel Net­work Char­i­ties, which con­tin­ues to­day as an im­por­tant food pantry for the com­mu­nity.
