Bank Seeks School Tools For Chil­dren

Cen­tral Pa­cific Bank is team­ing up with Help­ing Hands Hawaii to col­lect school sup­plies for low­in­come Hawaii stu­dents through its Ready to Learn cam­paign.

Through the month of July, sup­plies and mon­e­tary do­na­tions are be­ing ac­cepted at CPB branches statewide, in­clud­ing five in East Oahu: Hawaii Kai, Ka­hala, Kaimuki, Ka­pahulu and Times Su­per­mar­ket Ka­hala. For more in­for­ma­tion, call 5440500.

The do­na­tions col­lected last year pro­vided school sup­plies for nearly 2,200 chil­dren.

Help­ing Hands Hawaii es­tab­lished Ready to Learn in 1999 to as­sist low-in­come stu­dents in their class­rooms.
