Hawaii Vo­cal Arts Con­certs

If the usual hol­i­day tunes com­ing at you from car ra­dios, shop­ping malls and iPods don’t quite sat­isfy that sea­sonal mu­sic crav­ing, a more in­ti­mate and tra­di­tional treat is in store at Cham­i­nade Uni­ver­sity’s Mys­ti­cal Rose Or­a­tory this week­end.

The 30-voice Hawaii Vo­cal Arts En­sem­ble will sing con­tem­po­rary tunes and nostal­gic clas­sics at its Christ­mas con­certs at 7:30 p.m. Satur­day and 4 p.m. Sun­day. Fans are en­cour­aged to warm their voices up ahead of time be­cause the au­di­ence will be in­vited to sing along.

Park­ing on cam­pus is free and plen­ti­ful. Con­cert tick­ets are avail­able at Honolu­luBoxOf­fice. com, by call­ing 550-8457 and at the door. Ad­mis­sion is $20, $15 for se­niors and mil­i­tary and $5 for stu­dents. The best seats in the house are avail­able for $35.
