Panel Has Ad­vice On Man­ag­ing Arthri­tis

A free pub­lic fo­rum on “Ex­er­cise and Arthri­tis” will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 12 at Ka­hala Nui, fea­tur­ing a panel of lo­cal ex­perts, an ex­er­cise ses­sion and lunch.

Rheuma­tol­o­gist David John of The Queen’s Med­i­cal Cen­ter, Queen’s phys­i­cal ther­a­pist Leslie Muko­gawa and Clint Evans, a cer t i f i ed Arthri­tis Foun­da­tion in­struc­tor, will lead a dis­cus­sion of rheuma­toid arthri­tis, its treat- ment op­tions and what are the best ex­er­cises for it as well as joint pro­tec­tion.

The fo­rum is co-spons ored by t he Ar t hr i t i s Foun­da­tion, s t ate Rep. Bar bara Maru­moto and Women in Govern­ment. Par­tic­i­pants must re­spond by Jan. 7 to 596-2900.
