“We max­i­mize our op­ti­mal per­for­mance, so there’s never a rou­tine with the work­outs,” said Cho. “None of our mem­bers knows what they’re go­ing to work er that at most you have to share with nine other peo­ple.”

The gym also in­cludes a keiki play area that’s free to all mem­bers.

“We’re all about build­ing the com­mu­nity,” said Young. “A lot of women have to sac­ri­fice work­ing out to watch the chil­dren, but we en­cour­age them to bring them and show them that mommy is work­ing out — show them that you are do­ing good for your­self and set­ting a good ex­am­ple.”

CrossFit Ewa Beach is lo­cated at 2114 Lauwili­wili St., Suite 102B in Kapolei.

The gym is cur­rently search­ing for Hawaii’s Fittest Ath­letes to com­pete in its 2010 CrossFit Games Hawaii Sec­tion­als March 13 and 14. Open to all ages and abil­i­ties, ath­letes can reg­is­ter at http://games2010.crossfit.co m.

The top six com­peti­tors ( three men and three women) will go on to rep­re­sent Hawaii at the South­west Re­gional Com­pe­ti­tion in Or­ange County.
