Young Artists’ Work On View Through 2011

A spe­cial art ex­hibit opened May 2 at Hawaii Con­ven­tion Cen­ter fea­tur­ing cre­ations by Hawaii’s school­child­ren.

Paint­ings from stu­dents in grades K-6 are on view now through April 2011 from young artists statewide. The 2010 Stu­dent Art Ex­hi­bi­tion, Cel­e­brat­ing Hawaii with My Fam­ily and Friends, is spon- sored by the state Depart­ment of Ed­u­ca­tion, State Foun­da­tion on Cul­ture and the Arts and Hawaii Tourism Author­ity.

West Oahu artists on dis­play are Shayna Ca­su­pang, Alo­hi­lani Cuar­isma, Devin Kub­ota and Rachael Nac­nac, all of Man­ana Ele­men­tary School. Soong, who has served as an in­te­gral part in the growth of the com­pany over the past 10 years, will be re­spon­si­ble for the over­all di­rec­tion of op­er­a­tional ac­tiv­i­ties of the record­ing la­bel.

A grad­u­ate of Sa­cred Hearts Academy, she has a bach­e­lor’s de­gree in in­ter­na­tional busi­ness and a mas­ter’s in man­age­ment from HPU.
