Mu­sic Fest To Rock LCC Satur­day

The fourth an­nual Lee­ward Mu­sic Fes­ti­val re­turns Satur­day at Lee­ward Com­mu­nity Col­lege, be­gin­ning at 6:45 p.m.

Spon­sored by Kapolei Cho­rale, this year’s event fea­tures ukulele record­ing artist Kalei Gamiao, the High­lands Intermediate School Cho­rus, pi­anist Tyler Ramos, taiko drum­mers from Pa­cific Bud­dhist Academy, vo­cal- ists Romy Col­lado and Christo­pher Patlin­grao, dancers from Dance Ap­peal Stu­dio, the Pearl City El­e­men­tary School Cho­rus and Oahu Civic Orches­tra.

The Kapolei Cho­rale also will per­form. The fes­ti­val was cre­ated by Doris Sadako Dud­ley of Kapolei Cho­rale as a way to show­case talent from the Lee­ward area, while pro­mot­ing the arts.

“This fes­ti­val is a spec­tac­u­lar cel­e­bra­tion of all kinds of mu­sic,” for­mer Lee­ward Com­mu­nity Col­lege mu­sic pro­fes­sor Mar­i­lyn Liu Kim stated.
