WCC Drama Stu­dents Stage Dark, Ur­ban ‘Bat­tle Of Will’

Killers, body­guards, gravedig­gers and lost girls com­pete for a place in the un­der­world’s hi­er­ar­chy in Wind­ward Com­mu­nity Col­lege’s Theatre 260’s new ur­ban crime drama, run­ning from Fri­day through March 9 in Pa­liku Theatre.

Dra­matic Pro­duc­tion stu­dents will present Bat­tle of Will, a care­ful study of hu­man re­la­tion­ships, the power of con­tracts and the animalistic na­ture of hu­man­ity, by French play­wright Lau­rent Gaudé. Award-win­ning Tau­rie Ki­noshita di­rects the pro­duc­tion.

The cur­tain goes up at 8 p.m. Fri­day, Satur­day and March 7 and 8, and 4 p.m. Sun­day and March 9. Tick­ets can be or­dered at et­ick­ethawaii.com or by phone at 235-7310 and cost $10 for stu­dents with valid ID/se­nior/mil­i­tary and $15 gen­eral ad­mis­sion.

Be­cause of the play’s adult con­tent, it is rec­om­mended for ages 17 and older.
