Leg­is­la­tors Talk Story Thurs­day

Four Wind­ward leg­is­la­tors each sit on mul­ti­ple com­mit­tees in the state House and Se­nate, and Honolulu City Coun­cil, so when they all de­cide to get to­gether to talk story with the com­mu­nity, it’s a good idea to lis­ten up.

Bring your ques­tions and sug­ges­tions Feb. 27 to the En­chanted Lake El­e­men­tary School cafe­te­ria, where state Reps. Cyn­thia Thie­len and Chris Lee, state Sen. Laura Thie­len and City Councilman Ikaika An­der­son will ad­dress is­sues per­ti­nent to the Wind­ward com­mu­nity and an­swer ques­tions and con­cerns from res­i­dents in the Ka­neohe Bay, Kailua and Waimanalo districts.

Rep. Thie­len, as­sis­tant mi­nor­ity leader, 50th District, is vice chair­woman of the House En­ergy and En­vi­ron­men­tal Pro­tec­tion Com­mit­tee, and rank­ing mem­ber for Con­sumer Pro­tec­tion and Com­merce, Ju­di­ciary, and Wa­ters and Land com­mit­tees.

Rep. Lee chairs the House En­ergy and En­vi­ron­ment Pro­tec­tion Com­mit­tee and serves on the Con­sumer Pro­tec­tion and Com­merce, Ju­di­ciary, Ocean, Ma­rine Re­sources and Hawaii Af­fairs, and Wa­ter and Land com­mit­tees.

Sen. Thie­len is on the com­mit­tees for Agri­cul­ture, Eco­nomic De­vel­op­ment, Govern­ment Op­er­a­tions and Hous­ing, Wa­ter and Land, and Ways and Means.

Councilman An­der­son is vice chair­man of the Honolulu City Coun­cil and chair­man of the Zon­ing and Plan­ning Com­mit­tee.
