Edgy street threads to elegant evening wear are all on display at this month’s Milwaukee Fashion Week.

Get a peek at local designers’ newest creations.

On September 21-23, the city’s best-dressed will shimmy into their most eye-catching outfits and sashay into the Milwaukee Athletic Club’s Grand Ballroom for the third-annual Milwaukee Fashion Week, a three-day sartorial extravaganza complete with live music, industry mingling and – of course – fashion shows.

We invited four of the designers, all with local connections, to share a sneak peek at the looks they’ll be sending down the runway at this year’s event.

A long side slit lends this satin, sapphire-toned gown by Madalyn Manzeck a touch of vintage glamour, while the asymmetrical pleats are

very of the moment.

Emily Ristow designs with flexibility in mind – the double-knit shift shown here is reversible, while the jacket,

a French twill lined with nylon and fleece, features adjustable drawstrings on the sleeves and hood. A mixed metal choker from the Third

Ward’s Stephanie Horne Boutique (stephaniehorne.

com) completes the look.
