One of the earliest and most reliable vegetables to plant in spring since it’s cold-hardy.
Plant the potatoes, eyes up, in containers or grow bags starting in late spring.
Not heat-sensitive, so they can withstand a hot summer. Plant it by seed in late April.
Hardneck cultivars do better than softneck in our cold climate. Plant as cloves in the fall about 30 days before the ground freezes.
Plant romaine, mesclun mix and the like by seed in late spring or late August.
