T-6 TEXAN (FSP 04821)

Model Airplane News - - IN THE WORKSHOP -

The very first Uravitch design to be published is this easily constructed, penny-pinching sport racer. The all-balsa built-up design originally used insulation foam for its turtle deck and the bottom of a soda bottle as a cowl. It has a 44-inch wingspan and is 31 inches long. It is designed around the O.S. Max .15 glow engine for power, and it uses a 4-channel radio for aileron, rudder, throttle, and elevator control. Several other .15-size Reno Racer designs followed the Texan. The T-6 was featured in both the April 1982 and the July 1987 issues of MAN.
