Motion RC Spitfire Mk IX

-

The Spitfire Mk IX from Motion RC is a molded EPO-foamed warbird with a scale outline and molded-in details. The wing is reinforced with an interlocking plywood and carbon-fiber frame to create a lighter and stronger structure than a solid molded-foam wing. The aircraft comes painted, and there are four sets of decals to choose from. The wing halves and horizontal stabilizers are removable, and a large hatch on top of the fuselage gives easy access to all the electronics and the battery pack. The servos, motor, speed control, and retracts are all installed at the factory. The main landing gear feature shockabsorbing Oleo struts for smooth takeoffs from grass runways. Throttling up, the 4-blade prop puts out a lot of thrust, and the Spitfire gets in the air quickly. Landing without flaps, the Spitfire settles in well, with control all the way down to the ground. With flaps deployed, you can set up a steeper approach without gaining excessive airspeed.
