This 74-inch-span floatplane weighs in at 7.25 pounds and is powered by an Irvine .46 two-stroke, spinning an 11x6 Windsor Scimitar propeller. The scale-looking floats are from a Great Planes .40-size kit. Richard adds, “The prototype was registered in Canada in 1929 and served as a bush plane until 1937. It has since been restored, and appeared at the EAA [Experimental Aircraft Association] fly-in in Oshkosh in 1999.” (Photo by James Etherington)
