… that just won’t do

Modern Healthcare - - Opinions Letters -

We don’t need a “bipartisan compromise.” We need healthcare reform that includes a public option. Why can’t those GOP chuckleheads figure this out?

Their argument is equivalent to saying to a starving man, “While we know you need a full dinner, those of us paying for your meal can only agree on the appetizer. So that’ll have to do.” Who cares what you can agree on? How about agreeing to provide healthcare to the tens of millions of working Americans who live without coverage for themselves and their families?

If all the GOP can agree on is the appetizer, then get out of the way and let the Democrats buy the steak, potatoes, broccoli and dessert that the starving need to live on. Sheesh! Craig May
