Health Net named An­gelee Bouchard se­nior vice pres­i­dent, gen­eral coun­sel and cor­po­rate sec­re­tary at the Wood­land Hills, Calif.-based in­surer, ef­fec­tive im­me­di­ately. Bouchard re­places Linda Tiano, who is re­lo­cat­ing to Health Net’s Shel­ton, Conn., of­fice to be­come pres­i­dent of re­gional health plans for the North­east divi­sion. Bouchard, 41, joined Health Net in 2003 as vice pres­i­dent, as­sis­tant gen­eral coun­sel and as­sis­tant sec­re­tary. In that role, she has overseen the health in­surer’s cor­po­rate fi­nance and merg­ers and ac­qui­si­tions as well as cor­po­rate gov­er­nance. … Metropoli­tan Health Net­works—re­ferred to as Met­care—said Chair­man and CEO Michael Ear­ley will step down. The West Palm Beach, Fla., com­pany said it will be­gin a search for some­one to suc­ceed Ear­ley, who will stay in the po­si­tion un­til March 31, or un­til a suc­ces­sor is named. Ear­ley, 54, who has been with the com­pany since March 2003, will re­main a mem­ber of the board. Be­fore he worked at Met­care, he was a di­rec­tor there from June 2000 un­til De­cem­ber 2002. Ear­ley be­came chair­man of the com­pany in Septem­ber 2004. Mean­while, Eric Haskell, the board’s lead in­de­pen­dent di­rec­tor, will as­sume the du­ties of chair­man.
