Ithink it’s interesting that we think a workplace wellness program is discriminatory. I think we should be applauding the initiative.
Companies that have already instituted these practices have shown a drop in healthcare expenses. This is mainly by promoting a healthier lifestyle and environ- ment. Wellness can include many things. I believe that we can make wellness programs diverse enough that all can participate and benefit from the savings. Why shouldn’t all persons participate in wellness, whether you have diabetes, chronic fatigue, etc.? All of these persons need wellness as much as anyone else.
