Gilchrist going back to Colorado Medical Society
Alfred Gilchrist is resigning his job as CEO of the 35,000-member California Medical Association, and will return to his “adopted home” to resume his old job as CEO of the 7,400 member Colorado Medical Society on Feb. 1. Gilchrist, 56, started at the CMA on Nov. 16, 2009, and replaced Joe Dunn who announced his resignation in July. Dean Holzkamp, chief operating officer of the Colorado Medical Society, has been serving as its interim CEO. Gilchrist had been the Colorado society’s CEO since 2005. CMA Deputy CEO Dustin Corcoran will serve as the group’s acting CEO.
