Gilchrist go­ing back to Colorado Med­i­cal So­ci­ety

Al­fred Gilchrist is re­sign­ing his job as CEO of the 35,000-mem­ber Cal­i­for­nia Med­i­cal As­so­ci­a­tion, and will re­turn to his “adopted home” to re­sume his old job as CEO of the 7,400 mem­ber Colorado Med­i­cal So­ci­ety on Feb. 1. Gilchrist, 56, started at the CMA on Nov. 16, 2009, and re­placed Joe Dunn who an­nounced his res­ig­na­tion in July. Dean Holzkamp, chief op­er­at­ing of­fi­cer of the Colorado Med­i­cal So­ci­ety, has been serv­ing as its in­terim CEO. Gilchrist had been the Colorado so­ci­ety’s CEO since 2005. CMA Deputy CEO Dustin Cor­co­ran will serve as the group’s act­ing CEO.
