Bar­rett, CEO of La­hey Clinic, plans to step down in 2011

David Bar­rett will step down from his post as pres­i­dent and CEO of the Burling­ton, Mass.-based La­hey Clinic in Jan­uary 2011, ac­cord­ing to a news release. Bar­rett, 68, has led the two-hospi­tal med­i­cal cen­ter, which is af­fil­i­ated with Tufts Uni­ver­sity School of Medicine, since 1999. La­hey’s board of direc­tors has formed a search com­mit­tee that will be­gin in April looking for Bar­rett’s re­place­ment. Bar­rett will re­main with the med­i­cal cen­ter in an un­spec­i­fied lead­er­ship role through Septem­ber 2012 to help fa­cil­i­tate the tran­si­tion, clinic of­fi­cials said. He will also con­tinue his work as a doc­tor and urol­ogy pro­fes­sor at Tufts.
