The Cen­tral Con­necti­cut Health Al­liance pro­moted Clarence Sil­via to suc­ceed

Sil­via, 54, has also been named to suc­ceed Tan­ner, 63, as pres­i­dent and CEO of the Hospi­tal of Cen­tral Con­necti­cut and pres­i­dent of the Cen­tral Con­necti­cut Health Al­liance, ef­fec­tive im­me­di­ately. Sil­via was pre­vi­ously chief op­er­at­ing of­fi­cer of the Hospi­tal of Cen­tral Con­necti­cut and se­nior vice pres­i­dent of op­er­a­tions for the Cen­tral Con­necti­cut Health Al­liance. He was pres­i­dent and CEO of one of two hos­pi­tals that merged in 1996 to be­come the twocam­pus Hospi­tal of Cen­tral Con­necti­cut. Tan­ner will con­tinue as CEO of the Health Al­liance through June as reg­u­la­tors con­sider a pro­posal for the CCHA to be­come a sub­sidiary of three-hospi­tal Hart­ford (Conn.) O’Con­nell, 64, has worked for Froedtert since 1993, when he was hired on as CFO of Froedtert Memo­rial Lutheran Hospi­tal.
