MedAs­sets names Alexan­der to head Per­for­mance An­a­lyt­ics unit

Stephanie Alexan­der, 46, has been tapped to serve as pres­i­dent of the Per­for­mance An­a­lyt­ics di­vi­sion of MedAs­sets, a group pur­chas­ing or­ga­ni­za­tion and rev­enue­cy­cle man­age­ment com­pany. This is a newly cre­ated po­si­tion. Most re­cently, Alexan­der was se­nior vice pres­i­dent and gen­eral man­ager of Premier’s Health­care In­for­mat­ics di­vi­sion. Alexan­der re­signed from that post in Oc­to­ber 2008.

Catholic Health East named Nora Tri­ola to a newly cre­ated po­si­tion as ex­ec­u­tive vice pres­i­dent and chief nurs­ing of­fi­cer for the sys­tem based in New­town Square, Pa. Tri­ola leaves a role as CNO and ex­ec­u­tive vice pres­i­dent for two CHE hos­pi­tals in South Florida—Holy Cross Hos­pi­tal, Fort Laud­erdale, and Mercy Hos­pi­tal, Mi­ami. Jones, 56, was pro­moted from pres­i­dent of Caroli­nas Med­i­cal Cen­ter-Mercy, Char­lotte, to di­vi­sion pres­i­dent over­see­ing two hos­pi­tals—Caroli­nas Med­i­cal Cen­terNorthEast, Con­cord, N.C., and Caroli­nas Med­i­cal Cen­ter-Uni­ver­sity, Char­lotte.

Spencer Lilly, 45, who had been pres­i­dent of the Uni­ver­sity hos­pi­tal, will re­place Win­gate-Jones at the Mercy hos­pi­tal.

Cur­tis Copen­haver shifts from in­terim pres­i­dent of the North­East hos­pi­tal to re­plac­ing Lilly on an in­terim ba­sis.
